This time I'll show you, how to change the depth in the perpendicular direction. How to make a cross-section to a certain depth.

I make a cut from the assembly level. W the scope of the operation I mark the components that interest me. Option Distribution of the operation to the part remains unmarked.

Then I create a new configuration (1) named cut (or whatever). Now you should suppress the notch in the default configuration (2).

In the drawing, the prepared configuration should be selected accordingly.

Of course, you can cut a part / assembly with this method.
