Chain pattern using 3 components on the example of a caterpillar

Do you know, that… ?

Chain pattern in assemblies, it allows you to place one or maximum two chain segments after a snowball.

So for the standard chain (e.g. cycling) it is a sufficient solution. The matter becomes complicated, if we want to arrange three different parts in the pattern. As you can see in the operation properties, it is not possible to select more than two parts.

What then?

Then it remains to make parts in configurations and use them appropriately. In this case, every second instance of one of the components will have a changed configuration. This can be automated to some extent by selecting an option Configure the component (and change in the table) or using an Excel design table.

attention! Synchronize the configuration of the arrayed components with the source must remain unchecked!
