Consider the following situation. sheet metal, from which I want to cut a smaller sheet. The difficulty lies in the fact, that the cut overlaps the bends.

As is known in this case, the option should be selected Cuttinge. However, it is not available when thin-wall cutting or double contour cutting!

However, if you cut with a double outline – Solidworks will leave only one sheet metal! So this solution also falls out.

It can be done in this way, that we cut without cutting perpendicular leaving two objects.

And then a separate operation “we straighten” cutting walls with Cuts perpendicular. Sometimes it will be necessary to move the walls and remove the roundings in advance.

This is one of the possible solutions. Of course, it was possible to cut an internal object before converting to a baking tray and then convert twice to sheet metal.
