You can use the Weldments module to create sheet metal parts. The structures enable quick automatic trimming of members, moreover, you can use a 3D sketch to draw a spatial armature. The only problem is the conversion of the resulting pipes into sheets. For this purpose, the structural members must be cut open.
How to do it quickly?
Of course, you can cut open objects, but it can be done easier and faster…
Enough in the profile library Weldment Profiles save the finished sketches with cuts.
Later, you select these profiles keeping that in mind, that you can easily change the location of the cut by rotating the profile.
The last step is to convert objects to plates.
