Various properties in various configurations of weldments

Do you know, that… ?

Welded structures are similar in form to assemblies, where bodies in the multibody part appear instead of components in the assembly. Both assemblies and weldments can have configurations. By default, structures have a machined and welded configuration (which can be turned off in the options).

The important difference is the custom properties. In an assembly, properties are defined on each part and can be general or configuration-specific properties. However, for weldments, the properties are entered in the weldment cut list, not in the File menu > properties.

In this case, you can also select properties and associate them with a given configuration.

After adding the properties in the column Value / Text Expression a standard selection window will appear, whether the property applies: this configuration, all configurations or specify configurations.
