After switching on section view we probably use the existing main planes for cutting. But it is also possible to make such a cross-section in relation to the marked flat wall or other plane. Of course, you can manipulate depth and rotate section planes.

A new solution is the ability to create a section view after selecting an axis (or something linear, e.g. lines or edges). Additionally, a reference point should be indicated, and the resulting cutting plane can also be rotated.
