In SolidWorks, you can create advanced equation. An excellent example is the Toolbox components, which contain many different equations.

Hi

Can you help me I can’t seem to get my equation to work, it uses to work when I just adding 2 values together in the primary value box but now if does not work, I have been looking online but I can’t seem to find the old post showing how to fix this.

So when I go and use dimension on my drawing and add the measurement for the drawing”i.e: 10+2″ in the primary value box to give the measurement I need I can’t seem to get it to work I can’t even enter the equal symbol can you help, I can’t seem to find the sit that I use to go to, to fix this issue.

  Not sure, equations are not for driven dimensions (grey colour – in drawing). Read this link https://help.solidworks.com/2020/english/SolidWorks/sldworks/HelpViewerDS.aspx?version=2020&prod=SolidWorks&lang=english&path=sldworks%2ft_add_equation.htm or post some pictures for clarify.
