You can open New window for an open document.

What is the use of this?? It's mainly about the ability to browse in different display modes. remember, that a change made in any window will be visible in every other window, because we're working on the same file!

I personally find application for this tool when working with assemblies, in Routing or during project presentations.

It's worth pointing out, that it also works in drawings and can be used to browse in new windows different sheets!
