Which is the best method to create the beam end cut?

Do you know, that… ?

Consider such a situation. We have a beam (made with any technique) and add a miter at its end 45 degrees.

This can really be done in many ways, but is any of them better than the others??

1. Chamfer.

This method requires you to uncheck the option Tangential parting and enter the profile height. Therefore, I do not find it particularly useful in such a situation.

2. Cut off with a sketch line.

Solution of drawing an open outline from a vertex and cutting off a fragment with a sketch. Simple and effective method, but you need to draw a sketch. It is possible to improve it a little by creating such an operation from the library (or the reference sketch itself).

3. draft.

In this case, the solution seems less obvious to me, because draft most often used in the design of plastic elements. But you can apply operations to skew an end face.

4. Move face – Rotate.

My favorite feature in this situation, because it does not change its ID by turning the face. Means, that if the face was constrained in the assembly or there were dimensions that referenced the face, will not become obsolete!

Select the bottom edge of the model as the axis of rotation.

note, that each of these methods allows you to freely set the angle. However, the best similar constructions should be drawn in the module Welded structures, where cuts are generated automatically.
