Lots of companies producing sheet metal parts have their sheets cut out or do it themselves. It happens, that the sheets have a complicated shape and therefore export settings are important. This applies to all sheets in general, they do not need to be extruded.
If you are exporting a flat pattern, the default setting in the options is Export all splines as splines. Means, that when you open DXF, each arc or spline is visible as one continuous curve.
The second option is to enable the option Export all splines as polylines – which converts curves into interconnected line segments. There are more of them, the greater the spline curvature. Unfortunately, the resolution cannot be set.

remember, that some machines do not read type curves Splajn, so you need to change the default setting to save as Polilinie.
