When dimensioning some elements in drawings, we obtain a dimension that is inconsistent with expectations. This will be, for example,. when dimensioning the distance between bends in sheets or flat bars.

But there is a possibility of proper alignment of the dimension. Option Align to Edge is under the right mouse button. After clicking in this way on the dimension, then click on the edge, which will be used for alignment.

note, that this method can also be used to align dimensions in other ways, e.g. horizontally or perpendicularly.
