By equation SolidWorks so you can bind parameters, to a change – in this example – the length of sheet metal, automatically catered number of vents. How to do it?

You need to associate the total length of the pitch and the number of repetitions in formation.

Parameter “Offset” denotes the distance from the border is defined and constant, which I set at the beginning of. You can of course change it.

Then I define auxiliary parameter RD (gray size “The total length.”), which is equal to the total length of the sheet decreased by twice the offset.

The number of repetitions of the pattern must therefore be equal to the total length divided by the plus spacing 1 occurrence. While the spacing is the quotient of the total length and the number of repetitions of less 1.
