SOLIDWORKS 3D models

A long time ago I wrote about the settings for printing in the File tab > Print3d. Yes, in SolidWorks there is a possibility, Just like in an ordinary printer, Printing parameters settings and supports check, thin walls, layers etc.. Unfortunately, not all printers are on the list, But you can use the default settings to orientate about potential print problems.

3D printing – parameter settings

Most people, including me, By saving the 3D printing model, he simply saves .*stl'a and opens it in the printer program.

During the record, we have access to the selection of resolution:

  • Gruboziarnista
  • Petite
  • Adapted

These parameters affect the quality of the detail by changing and the shape of triangles. Of course, the smaller the triangle, This print quality will be better. In most cases, choosing options Petite It will be enough. But I'll show you below, to what extent does this affect the printout of my detail – clamp.

The model has been saved for printing with an option Petite.

The print shows clear surface breakdowns. If the model were saved in mode adapted with high parameters – The shape would be smooth. Of course, the fact is not without significance, that the file size increased significantly.3D prints
