Do you know, that… ?
BIM (the. Building Information Modeling) This building information modeling, which enables continuous and immediate access to information about the project. SolidWorks version 2016 supports this format enabling recording with dedicated parameters for the type of product. This is particularly important, when we create models for the construction industry.
BIM to:
- improved visualization projects
- easier access to information embedded in the file
- better exchange of data between systems
You can export SolidWorks files as Industry Foundation Classes files (.ifc)(IFC 2×3 albo IFC 4.0) for use in applications commonly used in the construction industry.
With SolidWorks file, you can map the following attributes to the IFC file 4.0:
- geometric data
- The properties of the material and mass
- geometry tessellation
- The colors of the walls and objects
In the files IFC 2×3 They can be saved following properties:
- Material
- mass measurement
- measurement of surface
- volume measurement
How to save the model parameters?
Generally, when saving format *.ifc You can choose Options and there choose a class.
In the properties tailored select IFC and further relevant parameters.
There are two classes:
OmniClass – This classification organizes components for the construction of the supply chain or industrial design / construction. Is the standard classification consisting in ordering a series of information about the objects of construction. OmniClass concept comes from internationally recognized standards, which were developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Association of Building Information (ICIS).
UniClass2015 – specifies the version of the development of classification tables provided by the Commission UniClass2015 CPI (Construction Project Information). The tables describe the contents UniClass2015, form and preparation of information on the structure.
