On the Tools menu > Sketch Tools find command Line with facet, which serves to quickly draw a sketch segments indented.

Simply select the sketch line 2D or 3D points and indicate the fault and its depth. Dimension and ready.

There are plenty of applications, from simple sketches through welded constructions, sheet metal, piping and finishing lines actually explode in assemblies.
