Do you know, that… ?

During the installation of SolidWorks going through several stages. during one – summary – you can specify download Options. If you ignore this moment, the program will automatically turn on background downloading.

Generally at this stage it is worth to determine whether to automatically download updates, what if yes, this is how we want to install. Default option Use Pickup background for future Service Packs service packs to be charged for the different versions, that we have on the computer.

At some point, it may be, that gathered quite substantial resources of the installation files, that we are not needed. It is worth to remember to clean directory SolidWorks Downloads every now and then.

Personally, I prefer to download updates manually at the moment, I'm sure when, provided that the service packs fix really important for me errors. Not necessarily right away when you see a new update I want to retrieve it.
