Do you know, że… ?
One of the options available when you right-click on a sketch is Chain selection.
Check out some practical examples of this tool.
1. When opening DWG / DXF.
Sometimes, after opening flat formats, we want to create a sheet metal or a regular extrude right away. And here comes the problem, because the sketch does not create a valid closed contour. Then I use the option Chain selection in order to identify the problematic place. Tam, where highlights the sketch ends there is a problem.
2. In the drawings, specifically in sections.
After the section is deleted, if a sketch line remains, it cannot be marked with a frame in order to, for example,. deletion.
In this situation, I always use Select chain after right clicking on the line.
3. In converting 3D scans to a surface.
In this case, I often use an intersection curve, which then converts to a spline. Of course, I use the options to select the sketch segments Chain selection.
