Do you know, że… ?
By default, the molding tools created in SOLIDWORKS are saved in the appropriate directory, which is automatically created during program installation. This is a directory forming tools in the library design library.
The condition of the tool operation after dragging onto the sheet metal is to enable the attribute Forming tools folder – w przeciwnym razie program traktuje takie narzędzie jako zwykłą część.
The second option has been available for several SOLIDWORKS versions, namely, saving the created tool in a format Form tool (*.sldftp), then there is no need to save the embossing to a dedicated folder in librabry design.
In sum, there are two options:
- files .sldftp. Create a file *.sldftp and put it in any folder. The function of the forming tool is based on the file extension. These files are created using newer technology.
- files .sldprt. Create a file *.sldprt and save it in the folder marked as Forming tools folder in the project library. These files are created using older technology.
