If an xref in a drawing becomes obsolete (olive color) it can be reattached to the selected component. There may be several reasons for an outdated link / note, most often the program cannot find the referenced file.
Then any link (including outdated links within a group), you can associate with any component within the same drawing view by dragging, or you can use options Join again and indicate the selected file.
